Jewelry Care

Thank you for supporting Liza James Design! Here's how to take care of your new LJD pieces:

All LJD pieces have been carefully handmade in small batches, using high quality materials. Please keep in mind that because they are handmade, each item is unique and may vary slightly from the images.

Keep your jewelry in a dry, cool place and avoid getting it wet. Also avoid solvents and chemicals such as hairspray, perfumes, jewelry cleaners, etc.

Polymer clay is both lightweight and durable. It is relatively strong, but can still be scratched or broken, so treat with care! To clean, gently rub with mild soap and water using a cloth or cotton swab.

Sterling silver (925) or silver plated brass are both nickel-free and durable materials. To minimize tarnish, wear your pieces often and store them in a dry, air tight bag. To remove tarnish, polish with a soft cloth or use a mild soap and water. For stubborn tarnish, gently rub with a baking soda and water paste (rinse with warm water after + dry carefully).
